Award Winning Wine in a Gorgeous Setting
We don’t mean to disparage the vineyards and winemakers in Napa Valley, but you don’t have to fly to the West Coast to find the best wine in the U.S. of A. Our wineries right here in Traverse City are more than capable of holding their own against the best wines in the world. There’s perhaps no better example of this than Bowers Harbor Vineyards on Old Mission Peninsula. Their collection of medals from wine competitions is as impressive as it is extensive, and their wine speaks volumes about the quality of wine being made in our area.
Wine Bottle Bling
Bowers Harbor Vineyards has had such success on the national stage of wine competitions that they’ve had to dedicate a page on their website to all of the awards and medals they’ve won. While the total number of awards is impressive, it’s even more impressive to look at the variety of wines that have been recognized for their excellence. Pinot Grigios, Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, Rieslings – Bowers Harbors seemingly does everything, and clearly, they do everything very well.
Wonderful Wine, Stunning Setting
In addition to world-class wine, guests will also fall in love with the atmosphere at Bowers Harbor. Well known for their friendly and knowledgable staff, people new to the tasting room will be impressed by this example of true Northern Michigan hospitality. The tasting room itself is beautifully rustic, but refined, with more than enough room for parties large and small to feel comfortable and welcome. With more than thirty types of wines and hard ciders available for tasting at any given time, there’s sure to be something available to taste that you’ve never experienced before. As is the norm for wineries on Old Mission Peninsula, a stunning view of the bay comes free with any wine tasting.
While we’d love for you to experience Bowers Harbor with us, you should also view their expansive Events page to see if there’s event featuring Bowers Harbors Vineyards near your neck of the woods.
