Events to Enjoy the Season!
Just because the temperatures are starting fall doesn’t mean that we’re ready to hibernate quite yet. Traverse City wineries and breweries go all-out to embrace the colors, beverages, and fluffy sweatshirts that everyone loves to break out as soon as the leaves start to fall and the pumpkins get harvested. Aside from a Private or Join In wine tour, there are so many ways to enjoy the fall season!
Like Cider? We Have the Event for You!
When you think of your favorite fall things, you think of cider, pumpkin doughnuts, and carving pumpkins, right? Well, the folks at Taproot Cider House are teaming up with a few of their friends to host Cider Dayz on October 8th and October 15th from 2-5pm. Freshly crushed cider will be served by the folks from Northern Natural Organics, with plenty of pumpkin doughnuts on had as well. There’s also the opportunity to get some tips on carving your best Jack ‘O’ Lantern yet! The event will be at Taproot on Front Street, just a half a block east from the State Theatre.
Wine, Painting, and Colorful Vistas
Wine enthusiasts can try their hand at capturing the stunning fall landscape at Bowers Harbor Vineyards on October 20th from 5-8pm. Painting with a Twist will lead guests in painting the fall foliage and breathtaking views of the vineyards of Old Mission Peninsula. The price is $35 per seat, plus $20 at Bowers Harbor gets you appetizers, five samples of wine, and one full pour of either wine or hard cider to build your inspiration while you work on your creation.
Try Reds for a Great Cause
On weekdays throughout the month of October, guests can participate in The Hunt for the Reds of October help to raise money to benefit the American Red Cross. For just $10 per ticket, you’ll receive a commemorative glass and a complimentary pour of the finest red wines at a host of Leelanau wineries. For every ticket sold, $5 will be donated to the Red Cross to help victims of natural disasters.
