The Story of Bowers Harbor Vineyards
We’ve been bringing groups to Bowers Harbor for five years now and we can’t help but love them more and more each year! Of course, we love their wine, but their outstanding customer service keeps us bringing customers their way. Five years is a long time but Bowers Harbor has us beat by a few years, they’ve been in this business for 27 years now and are growing each year. They started this beautiful adventure in 1991 and now have over 20 acres of vinifera vines. We found these awesome pictures on their website and learned just recently that where you enjoy wine is a where the former stable of an old horse farm was. We love horses, but sure are grateful they replaced them with friendly Bowers staff serving awesome wine and cider!
The Wine at Bowers Harbor Vineyards
Aside from their gorgeous property and knowledgeable and friendly staff Bowers Harbor Vineyards offers an extensive and impressive wine list! They have over 30 wines available and keep adding more and more each year. They recently released four new reds and we absolutely love them-our favorite is the 2896 Langley.
Aside from the awesome reds some of our current favorites along with some of our customer’s favorites are their Blanc de Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Unwooded Chardonnay, Otis White Wine (featuring a picture of their beloved dog Otis), Shiraz and their Appletage Port Wine. The Cider at Bowers Harbor Vineyards
Now, if you are convinced you aren’t a wine drinker, no worries, they offer wonderful hard cider as well. With many orchards on Old Mission Peninsula, Bowers Harbor is able to produce many hard ciders, all bursting with flavor. Most wineries offer one or two ciders but Bowers Harbor can have up to 8 on tap at a time! (Keep in mind winter months will have fewer options.)

The Tasting Room at Bowers Harbor Vineyards
Open all year round you can enjoy a tasting in a few different areas at Bowers Harbor! If you have a small group you will be inside at the tasting bar or their heated outdoor tasting room. (both pictured in the photo below) Here you can sample all of their wines and ciders and learn a ton about Bowers Harbor and all they have to offer!
If you are in visiting with a larger group, we will make a reservation for you and they will most likely take you down to their heated pavilion to enjoy a tasting down there!
Bowers Harbor Vineyards does an incredible job of making sure you are comfortable, learning a lot and most importantly sipping great wine!

In the summer you can enjoy a glass a wine while walking around their vineyards. They even have a small walking trail you can enjoy and it features a beautiful view of East Bay!
This property is even dog-friendly so you may even see some furry friends while you are visiting. (no dogs allowed inside just on grounds and patio)
Bowers Harbor is gorgeous any time of the year and something we really look forward to is their Snowshoe Wine and Brew once winter starts! We can drop you off at Bowers Harbor, you’ll enjoy some wine and then you can snowshoe to Jolly Pumpkin for a brew and we will pick you up from there and bring you back home! Here is the best part! Don’t worry about driving the 25 minutes to the tasting room, call us! We will pick you up from your Traverse City area hotel or rental, 7 days a week. Then, we will drive you to Bowers Harbor Vineyards to enjoy their wonderful wine, cider, pavilion, and tasting room.
