Wine and Beer Events March 2017

From the most anticipated culinary week of the spring to a special event on Leelanau Peninsula, not to mention a day or tunes and brews, there’s plenty going on in Traverse City during the month of March! Here are some of the most anticipated beer and wine events taking place in or around Traverse City this month.

Traverse City Restaurant Week (Feb. 26th through March 4th)

This is the week when Traverse City restaurants flex their culinary muscles, much to the pleasure of all who venture into one of the participating restaurants during the course of the week.  Guests will enjoy a scrumptious three-course meal for just $30 per person, which represents and excellent opportunity to enjoy an extremely high-quality meal without breaking the bank. It’s also a blast to see the restaurants create new dishes to offer up during the week; a rare chance for the restaurants to show off their skills and for patrons to try new creations at their favorite eateries.

Suds & Snow (March 4th)

There is perhaps no better event to send off a Traverse City winter than Suds & Snow at Timber Ridge Resort. Each spring, hundreds of attendees show up to party in the woods in order to show Father Winter that he’s overstayed his welcome. With an incredible live music line-up including Jesse Ray & the Carolina Catfish, Hannah Rose & the Gravestones, and more, the tunes will pair well with some of Northern Michigan’s best beer. Short’s, The Filling Station, and Tandem Ciders are just some of the brewers representing Northern Michigan at the event, while Founders will make the trek from Grand Rapids and Blackrocks Brewery comes all the way down from the U.P. to name just a handful of the many breweries and wineries that will be on-hand.

Tickets are for sale here. Don’t forget to give us a call to arrange your ride for before or after the event!

Lavender Chill Yoga, Live Music and Wine Tasting (March 17th)

Yen Yoga & Fitness pairs extremely well with Bowers Harbor Vineyards on an evening of self-indulgence. Enjoy a yoga class designed for all levels, complete with live acoustic guitar for a yoga experience unlike any other. With participants benefiting from yoga, wine, and smooth acoustic guitar, sore muscles and stressful weeks don’t stand a chance! We can’t imagine a better way to get your mind right for a Saturday wine tour than with an evening of relaxation. You can sign up for class here, before booking your beer and wine tour for Saturday here.

Sips, Chips & Dips (March 18th)

Want to help raise money for a good cause? And maybe drink wine on Leelanau Peninsula? Fortunately for you, you can do both at Sips, Chips & Dips! Tickets for the event are just $10 each, with half of that cost going towards saving Leland Harbor. 22 Leelanau wineries will be participating, offering plenty of opportunities to visit all of your old favorites, plus a few you’ve always wanted to scope out.
