Just a few miles North of Suttons Bay you’ll find an adorable winery French Valley Vineyards. Not only do they serve wonderful wine they also have gorgeous views of West Bay, lawn chairs to enjoy a glass of wine in, indoor and outdoor tasting rooms, wood oven pizzas and an Inn to stay if you decide you never want to leave! French Valley Vineyards was started on the idea of a romantic adventure for a husband and wife. They started their adventure with a cherry farm and a waterfront inn with a small restaurant. From there this beautiful vineyard and winery evolved . The small restaurant later became the tasting room, but you can still enjoy an amazing pizza made by Chef Dan while you enjoy their wine!
The Wine at French Valley Vineyards
Their most popular bottles are Jezebele and Cabernet Franc, we’ve tried and loved them both! Other favorites are the Jubilee, Cherry Wine, and Chardonnay. With over twelve wines to try, you won’t have a problem finding one you love here at French Valley Vineyards!
The Tasting Room at French Valley Vineyards
Very few wineries have both indoor and outdoor tasting rooms! On a nice summer day enjoy a tasting outside, and if you need a break from the sun or if it’s chilly their indoor tasting room is quite cozy, especially if they have the fireplace going. Either indoor or outdoor, enjoy the beautiful view of West Bay, it’s one of the best on Leelanau Peninsula!
After a tasting, grab a glass of wine and enjoy on either their patio or lawn!
The Pizza at French Valley Vineyards
Chef Dan is famous for his wood even pizza! If you get there before noon you may be lucky enough to taste his breakfast pizza, it’s delicious! Or try one of his many specialties for lunch as well. Our favorites are his BBQ Chicken Pizza or Pizza Supreme if you’re lucky they may be on special when you are visiting.
The Inn at French Valley Vineyards
Right next door to the tasting room is the Vineyard Inn on Suttons Bay. You can stay in one of their rooms and wake up to this gorgeous view. This Inn was recently featured on HGTV and even has its own private beach! To learn more about the Vineyard Inn on Suttons Bay click HERE.

How do I get to French Valley Vineyards?
Here is the best part! Don’t worry about driving the 30 minutes to the winery, call us! We will pick you up from your Traverse City area hotel or rental 7 days a week. Then we will drive you up to French Valley Vineyards to enjoy their wonderful wine and views.
