How to Do a Bachelorette Party Like a Pro

There is simply not a better place in Michigan to bring the girls for a bachelorette weekend than Traverse City. With a range of things to do and places to see all within 40 minutes of downtown, you may have to tell the girls to prepare for an entire week away. To give you just a sampling of what there is to do here in Traverse City, we put together a few ideas to make your bachelorette party in Traverse City something to remember forever!

Traverse City Wineries

Obviously, the most important ingredient for a bachelorette party is wine! A private wine tour is the perfect way to way to kick off any weekend. We have the perfect vehicle to accommodate any size group, and we’ll help you pick the wineries on your tour that will match the vibe of your crew. While on your tour, you can sample and buy all the wine you’ll need to get you through the weekend’s festivities!

Get Moving in TC!

Despite your intentions, we assure you that you and your gals can’t possibly drink all weekend. There are plenty of great ways to stay active in Traverse City. If you’re into yoga, be sure to stop by Yen Yoga & Fitness on Front Street for a range of yoga, fitness, and indoor cycling classes. With classes running all day, you’re sure to find a class that fits into your weekend’s busy schedule.

If you want to see Traverse City up close, there’s not a better way to get around than on bikes. Renting bikes from Einstein Cycles on Four Mile is cheap and easy, and you can hop on the Traverse Area Recreational Trail right from their parking lot and get to anywhere in TC!

If you’re looking for a hike and some stunning views, you need to head to Leelanau County. The Sleeping Bear Dunes are a blast to hike, with some of the most breath-taking views of Lake Michigan as a reward for your efforts. The hike at Empire Bluffs is equally stunning, and the drive getting out there allows you to take in views of vineyards, hardwood forests, and much more.

Where the Party At?

Take it from a local; when looking to go out in Traverse City, there are some places to check out and some places to avoid. Much of this depends on your desired vibe. For instance, if you and the girls want to get dressed to the nines, get the heels on and dance until you’re blistered, Shimmers might be your best bet. A little bit more casual option for dancing and nightlife is Union Street Station, which is one of my personal favorite spots for listening to excellent live music and getting, as the kids say, my groove on. A Traverse City institution, no bachelorette party is complete without stopping in at the U &I Lounge. I’m also a huge fan of The Workshop in the Warehouse District, while there is also great live music and dancing at Kilkenny’s.

Places to Relax

With all this hiking and dancing, you’re bound to want to take a little time to unwind and relax. Spa Grand Traverse at the Grand Traverse Resort is the largest and most traditional spa, but there are also several excellent places for manicures, pedicures, and massages in downtown Traverse City. impres Salon is one of the more popular places for manicures and pedicures for TC locals, and Allure is also a top-notch choice as well. If you’re looking for just a massage, Living Light is the go-to spot for sure.

This is just a tiny slice of the things to do and see in Traverse City. Look for more posts on the beaches, restaurants, and other TC must-see places coming very soon! Please keep in mind that if you need ideas on where to stay, what to do, or if you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. Our company is run by TC locals who know everything about our beautiful town, and we want to make sure you see and experience the very best it has to offer.
